Flash Mob Sign-Up
It's finally happening--Andee's is planning a Flash Mob! For those who don't know, a Flash Mob is a seemingly spontaneous public dance event that is planned ahead of time with a group of people. Here's an example:
Our vision: The Flash Mob will take place in an empty space near Lake Eola (typically used for the farmers' market). At the same time, groups of volunteers will start to move towards the central location, each playing the same song with coordinated speakers. In the center, Kenneth and a few others will assemble a pre-made table once the groups converge. With the help of our choreographer Chanel, the volunteers will do a short, VERY simple dance routine while the table is assembled. Once the table is finished, the groups will disperse, carrying the music off and leaving the table behind. The table will have information about Andee's with directions to the store, and will stay up for a short period of time for advertising. If all goes as planned, we hope to do this several times on different days.
Most importantly, you do NOT have to be a dancer for this Flash Mob! Our choreographer has lots of experience working with inexperienced groups, and the dance portion will be very short and easy. Before the actual Flash Mob, we'll need to meet a couple times to practice, but these will be very short meetings.
We're asking the members of our collective to participate before we open this sign-up form to the public because we're a community and we want to bring that energy to this event. We're ideally looking for between 20-30 volunteers. To sign up, just fill out the form below and we'll contact everyone one we set the dates.
If there are any questions, please contact us via email or phone and we'll help you out! Thanks!
